Ouverture au CHUV d'Oniris d'un poste de Praticien hospitalier en reproduction équine
Profil recherché : docteur vétérinaire ayant une certaine expérience en reproduction équine (français parlé et écrit indispensable)
CDD de 8 mois renouvelable à partir du 1er janvier 2026
Rémunération équivalente à celle du grade d'ingénieur de recherche (modulation en fonction l'expérience et les formations complémentaires)
Missions :
Encadrement des étudiants et des internes lors des activités cliniques de reproduction équine (mise en situation sur les 24 juments et l'étalon du troupeau pédagogique, cas cliniques vus dans le cadre du CHUV et juments suivies dans le centre de reproduction artificiel agréé).

Opening of a position for hospital practitioner in equine reproduction at the CHUV d’Oniris
Profile sought: veterinary doctor with some experience in equine reproduction (spoken and written French essential)
8 months fixed-term contract renewable from january 1, 2026
remuneration equivalent to that of the rank of research engineer (modulation based on experience and additional training)
Missions:
Supervision of students and interns during clinical equine reproduction activities (scenario on the 24 mares and the stallion of the educational herd, clinical cases (mares, broodmares, stallions) of reproduction and obstetrics coming for consultation or emergency at the CHUV, mares followed in the approved artificial reproduction center and broodmares hospitalized at the CHUV under foaling surveillance.

Nantes Veterinary College - Nantes, France - will open a position for a Clinician in Equine Reproduction (Theriogenology) within the animal reproduction division and the Equine Hospital at the beginning of january 2026-
This clinician will be responsible of Practical training of students of 4th and 5th years mainly on the pedagogical herd of 24 mares and one stallion
- students of 4th year learn how to perform a genital examination (including ultrasound scan), there are divided in groups of 8 students, one mare/student and there are 3 practical lessons/ strudent)
- students of 5th year are submitted of clinical cases build around the physiological status of the 24 mares (there are divided in groups of 8/10 students, 8 to10 cases per session, 3 sessions per students, they perform a complete clinical examination : history, clinical examination, and propose diagnosis, prognosis and treatment, they inseminate mares in estrus, perform pregnancy diagnosis...)
This clinician will be implicated in practical training of students of 6th years and interns
(management of stallion, semen collection, evaluation of semen, preparation of doses for artificial insemination (fresh and cooled semen)
This clinician will be also implicated in general and specialized consultations in equine reproduction : mares and stallions are seen in the Equine hospital of Nantes Clinics all along the year, and in addition during the breeding season mares and stallions are followed in the Reproduction Center of Nantes Veterinary College for artificial insemination.
Broodmares are also hospitalised for foaling survey… and obstetrical cases arrived in emergency departement where theriogenologists and surgians collaborate.
Duration of the position: 8 months./renewable contract. Monthly salary: approx. minimum 2000 Euros (adaptation following experiment and extra diploma)
Requirements: this person has to be a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (DVM); a clinical experience in equine reproduction is necessary.
Language: this person has to be able to communicate with students, clients and veterinarians, therefore it is necessary to be able to speak and understand French language reasonably well.
